Romania purchases from Tofan Grup the tyre plants Silvania from Zalău, Sălaj County and Victoria, Florești, Prahova County and the retreading plant in Bucharest. The company establishes its headquarters in World Trade Center building, Casa Presei.

Initially, Bucharest CBS activities were oriented toward South and Central Europe but step by step, the perimeter was expanded to the entire Europe. For some of the activities, like sales administration, CBS Bucharest also covers Africa, India, Middle East.
To improve accessibility and safety of the mountain paths in Iezer Păpușa Mountains, 111 Michelin volunteers, guided by Oxigen Association team and Salvamont Câmpulung team participate in a project to renovate Iezer refuge and remark the mountain paths leading to it.
